It’s 0.999….. (as in to the infinite decimal digit) not 0.999 LOL

9.99 – 0,999 = 8.991
8.991 / 9 = 0.99

1 in fact equals 0,9999…, but you can do it analogical with other periodic numbers, for example 0,3333: x=0,3333… 10x=3,3333… 9x=3 x=3 ☇
