this is so silly, 1 in fact equals 0.9999… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/0.999...

Math

Er…

10 * 0.999 = 9.99, not 9.999

U JELLY?

ERRR!! Try again.

It’s 0.999….. (as in to the infinite decimal digit) not 0.999 LOL

Asereje

0.999 * 10 = 9.99

9.99 – 0,999 = 8.991

8.991 / 9 = 0.99

Problem?

bla

1 in fact equals 0,9999…, but you can do it analogical with other periodic numbers, for example 0,3333: x=0,3333… 10x=3,3333… 9x=3 x=3 ☇

correct me if i’m wrong

Anon

9x = 3 x = 3/9 = 1/3 = 0.3333

corrected.

Fairly known that .999… = 1. learned that in like 8th grade, lol.
