Is because it’s not really an Australian accent. XP

    Australian Accent isn’t that Nasal.
If you would really Like to mimic our accent (and you are probably american or english) try the following.
Australians don’t tend to move their lower lip when doing the Australian drawl (which very few of us sound like) try talking initially with just your top lip. its difficult but a good starting point.
If you are American you will beed to downplay your ‘r’ sounds as an example:
She was eaten by a man eating Shark.
    You would say:
She was eaten by man eating Shark.
    ‘ah’ rather than ‘ar’
It’s really about softening the hard consonants.
