I don’t understand, what does this mean? (I’m not from the US)
His father died in combat. This flag was draped over his casket at his funeral.
His father was killed in combat. The boy is being given the flag that was draped over his father’s casket. That has to be one of the strongest kids I’ve ever seen.
I think his father has been KIA (killed in action.)
I’m pretty sure that his father died in war and when this happens a flag gets put over your casket at the funeral. This was probably the flag on the dad’s casket.
I am not from the US, too. However, I think the boy’s father has died while doing his duty and… yeah. His dad’s died!
It means the father (military) died. The flag being given is a symbol of a soldier passing.
His father died in war.
When someone dies in the army they get a ‘flag’. Obviously the flag is given to their kin. This picture is just touching because you can see how hard the kid is trying not to cry.
His father is a fallen soldier. He is being given his father’s flag at the funeral. Very sad picture.
That is one of the most touching pictures i’ve ever seen R.I.P.
Let there be peace on earth…
Yes, very sad and touching photo. Even it’s not funny, I’m glad to find this kind of picture on themetapicture.com.
@USA it’s for any military not just the army.
